In this professional learning module teachers will explore available options to provide access to the digital tools they have created for students as well as learn about new resources they can use in a blended or flipped classroom.
Introduction:
In this professional learning module we will be working on part 2 of our blended learning staff development. This module provides teachers with a way of hosting lessons or activities they create for their students along with providing more ideas on the concept blended learning. Before you begin this module you will need to see Mrs. Tyner for your Kidblog login information and download the filr app on your ipad.
Introduction to Modules:
This module contains 3 lessons. In Module 1 you will be learning more about the software kidblog. Module 2 provides you with an introduction to a new application that we think will help you with your own document storage as well as providing your students with an at school and home way to share digital documents with you. In Module 3 you will learn more about ways you can create technology stations in your classroom and at a distance as we look toward the future of the 21st century student.

- Create an avatar with a free online program. Then save the avatar using the software application Paint.
- Respond to a blog assignment
- Watch a video tutorial about kidblog.

Lesson 2
Module 2 explores a new software application Filr that provides drop-box like storage for teachers and students. Filr is accessible on computers, tablets and smartphones. In Filr you can store your personal documents or share folders and files with other teachers and students.
You will complete the following activities in this module:

Lesson 3 is designed to present new ideas and resources that teachers may want to use as they implement the blended learning concept. There are many ways to turn your classroom into a blended learning classroom. Remember you want to keep it simple. Don't try to start big and don't try to blend every subject you teach start by selecting one subject and work to create some blended learning activities for that subject.
